The Prayer Shawl Ministry

New members are always welcome to share their gifts and talents.
We are happy to teach and are very greatful for the monetary donations towards the purchase of yarn.

In the past two years, we have given out more than
250 prayer shawls.

Prayer shawls have been part of our human life
since the early Israelis. They have brought comfort, solace,
security, joy and, most importantly, God's presence to many people. They are made with deep prayer, love and concern.


Each stitch contains the creator's prayer for you.  Upon completion, your shawl was passed through our praying hands and blessed by our pastor.  Prayers were offered for you to be wrapped in God's presence.  Blessed Be.

Prayer shawls are given to individuals in need of feeling God's arms wrapped around them.  If you know of someone who you feel would enjoy receiving a handmade and blessed shawl, please contact the Parish Office or they may be picked up at the Youth & Religious Ed Center during business hours.
